Upon Arrival

Below are some key things to know and do right upon arriving to ensure the house is ready and comfortable for you.

Alarm

  • Alarm won’t allow you to set unless all doors and windows are closed. This is indicated by both lights at the top of the panel being green.

  • The back left sliding door is the only one that typically give some problems, so just open and reclose as needed.

  • To arm alarm when leaving: press “Arm Away” and enter the code. You will have 60 seconds to exit.

  • To arm alarm for the night when staying: press “Arm Stay” and enter the code.

  • To disarm the alarm: press “Disarm” and enter the code.

Plugging in Devices

From previous stays, several things are unplugged and need to be plugged back in (these are all marked with stickers on the wall outlets):

  1. Coffee Maker in the Kitchen

  2. Toaster oven in the kitchen

  3. Sonos speaker in the kitchen

  4. Living Room TV (in the middle drawer of the floating shelf)

  5. Sonos speaker in the Jack & Jack bathroom upstairs

  6. Vacuum hanging in the garage

  7. Turn on Ice Maker in the freezer

Air Conditioning

  • We typically try to remember to turn the air on in the house prior to arrival.
  • The thermostat is upstairs in the hallway on the wall.
  • To navigate, swipe your finger up and down on the right side of the thermostat.
  • Please do not turn on the heat and keep the temperature setting no lower than 68.
  • If any issues, please let us know. We do have control of this through an app so can assist or set things for you remotely.

Please also do not open windows and use the air instead. The outside air introduces moisture into the house!

Patio Furniture

  • Table and chairs are in the garage.
  • When bringing things to the patio from the garage, please go around the side of the house rather than through the main floor.
  • Please do not use the grill and leave in the garage.
